“Coun. Bruce Garrod, who is also chair of finance for the township, noting the total levy includes 2.01 per cent dedicated to the asset preservation reserve, which is used to improve township infrastructure assets.”
Show me Bruce…..Where did you spend the money – The culvert??
You wonder why I just had to throw my hat in the ring once again. I ran twice before – I hate being second. I guess I am too conservative!
I lead with Common sense and Fiscal responsibility.
Now where are we? As a taxpayer, Like you we are going to see another budget that will tax you once again with staggering effects.
Let’s get in there and set a budget where we can estimate programs with out going over (like this year already $400’000 over ++) and hold the tax at where it is with out increase in 2024. Because announcement for 2023 will have already been set and announced in January (usually). The word on the street is another 3.5% - Don’t forget Durham they like theirs too!
